How Do We Live Jesus’ Words?
We are a church that values every person, making care and safety a priority. Jesus calls us to ‘love one another’ (John 13:34-35). One of the ways we express this love is by ensuring the well being of children and showing consideration to vulnerable people within our church family. To be part of ADBC is to enjoy being part of a safe, kind community that is passionate about following Jesus faithfully.
SAFE MINISTRY & EVENTS
The Safe Church Team provide resources to help ministries. Whether you are reviewing your current ministry or looking at starting a new one, we can help you assess your Ministry.
We also provide an Event Pack for evaluating new Events.
SAFE CHURCH FILES
We provide many useful files for keeping our church safe. Being a community of love, grace and care doesn’t just happen. It is only as the Holy Spirit unites us with Christ that godliness grows.
Our Safe Church files give concrete expression to our intention to live for Jesus and provide practical resources.

Creating Safe Spaces Course – August
The Creating Safe Spaces course has 2 parts; an online session and then a face to face seminar at the church.
The Creating Safe Spaces course is a compulsory training for Staff and Volunteers who work with children. However it is also worthwhile for all.

Creating Safe Spaces
Creating Safe Spaces is a regular training event that we run. It is available to all people within the church and is well worth your time. It is also compulsory for all staff and volunteers in ministry who work with children, youth or vulnerable people.

Armidale District Baptist Church is becoming a place of relaxed safety because we take the time to truly “see” each other. Thank you for listening with empathy to others and observing what people are going through.

Frequent Questions about Church Safety
What is a Safe Church?
The phrase Safe Church refers to being a church that consciously cares for children, youth and vulnerable people and puts in place strategies to ensure their safety.
Are we just meeting government requirements?
We are a Safe Church not just to meet government requirements (though there are quite a few these days!). Far more important to us is being a church that refects the love and care of Jesus Christ for people.
