Read 3 John 6-8
“They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honours God. 7 It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. 8 We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth..” (NIVUK)
I learnt recently of Lillian Trasher, a missionary who founded the largest orphanage in Egypt. She had less than $100 dollars to her name when she arrived in Egypt, and not long after arriving was looking after a dying child. Soon after growing to more children. This would not have happened if she had not followed the call of the Lord. We have the ability to join in missionary work although we may not have that gifting, so we should be very willing to make sure God’s work is done.
How can we support those who have gone on mission? Has God called you to mission work?
