Read Philemon 1:18-19
“If he has done you any wrong or owes you anything, charge it to me. 19 I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand. I will pay it back – not to mention that you owe me your very self.” (NIVUK)
Like many of his letters, Paul makes a personal comment in his own hand. Paul says that he will repay Philemon for any wrong that Onesimus has done to him. However Paul again challenges Philemon by reminding him of the spiritual wealth rather than worldly wealth. It is a common thought to get our own back when we have been wronged but we ought not to be storing up wealth on earth but storing up spiritual blessings.
Are there any wrongs that we need to forgive? Are we storing up the riches of knowing Christ and storing up treasure in heaven?
