Read Jude 20-21
“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” (NIVUK)
Jude encourages us to build ourselves up in faith—much like Paul’s call to put on the full armour of God.
In Scripture classes, I use a simple illustration: two chairs—one made of matchsticks and one solid. Would you trust the matchstick chair to hold your weight? Of course not.
Our faith is not in something flimsy. It’s in the Lord Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth. Faith might *look* fragile to the world, but true faith relies completely on God’s strength.
Like Abraham, may we step out of our comfort zones and trust God daily, even when we can’t see what’s ahead.
