Tuesday 13th November
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.” (Ephesians 1:3-4)
The spirit and content of this prayer should be included in every daily thanksgiving. For some reason it reminds me of the beginning of the Lord’s prayer; we have an Almighty Father who loved us before the world began and wants what is best for us. Because of what Christ has done we are blessed to be part of the family of God, forgiven and set apart for Him. Thanks, doesn’t seem adequate and it is what God has done not just for me but for all who come to Jesus in faith! Sit and reflect on this before you attempt to respond in prayer.
