Paul challenges Philemon again here. If you consider me a partner. Philemon has a really uncomfortable decision to make. Of course he considers Paul a partner, a brother even, but he is being asked to do something that goes against the societal norm. As Christians we are called to walk against the current of the world. For salmon, their goal is to get upstream, nothing will stop them, They face bears, waterfalls, even roads cutting across their path. However, they do this for the prize that waits for them. Are we living as part of the world or going against the flow?
