Read Jude 22-23
“Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” (NIVUK)
“A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.” This old idiom rings true as Jude calls us to care for those who are weak in faith.
One of the most practical ways we can do this is through discipleship. Another saying goes, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
By discipling others, we equip them to disciple the next generation—and we strengthen the church.
Jude also reminds us to “save others,” pulling them from danger. But we must do this with care, staying grounded in Christ so we’re not pulled down ourselves.
