A prayer to break the barriers of peace and building peace for the future
We bow down before You, our Lord, the God of all nations, as we walk together.
We pray that You will touch and open our hearts with Your tenderness and caring grace. Please open our minds to Your understanding.
Please take control of our hearts and guide our awareness of the purpose You have for us through the challenges in our everyday challenges.
Thank you, Lord, we are Yours. We are one people, many nations, we are blessed to be Your children. With Your presence in our lives and Your guidance we will have the strength to build great hope through small steps of peace.
Although we might experience barriers in our earthly journey, You will break the chains and set us free to enjoy your presence as the Peacemaker, Protector, Guide and Saviour.
As Your children, your creation, Your people, we are one voice that shouts for justice for all, destroys hatred, calls for kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
You are the Peacemaker and Companion of our souls, the Builder of Love and Justice in this world, and we worship You.
Lord, we commit our time, our energy, our talents, our gifts, even our limitations, failures and very selves to the cause of justice and peace for all. We join our lives with the purpose You are setting apart for us, your people.
We pray this in the Name of all names, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
